Why we started Century

Century was founded in late 2017 to give home buyers quality inspections that are affordable and easy to understand. Our founder, Steve Sinnott, spent 30 years in retail before buying and rehabbing houses — and kept running into the same frustration: inspections that felt like a crisis, with long lists for the sake of length and reports designed to protect the inspector, not the buyer. There had to be a better way.

Steve built a reporting system that's visual, on point, and has no canned statements. People got less stressed. They got the facts. Demand grew, and we brought on a team that shares the same mindset: knowledgeable, engaging, patient — the kind of people who like to climb on rooftops and actually explain what they find.
